Managing Director Hunts Hotel Liverpool, President Liquor Accord – Liverpool

Harry served the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce from 1980 to 2016. Harry recovered the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce from bankruptcy in 1990 and served as President of the Liverpool Chamber from 1998 to 2016. He left the Chamber in a healthy financial situation with over $90,000 in the bank and is one of Liverpool’s most respected citizens. Harry is well known for this charity and support to the community of Liverpool, donating on an average $50,000 back each year. Harry owns and operates the Hunts Hotel Liverpool, which is one of Liverpool’s longest operating hotels. Harry networks tirelessly in South West Sydney and brings to the Committee a wealth of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Vice President and Secretary – Fazila Farhad

Managing Director Ramada Hotel & Suites Sydney Cabramatta, Vice President,Liquor Accord Cabramatta – Fairfield, Director Liverpool Chamber, Director TAA NSW.

Fazila is currently the Managing Director Ramada Hotel & Suites Sydney Cabramatta (a part of the Wyndham Hotel Group), previously branded as Ibis styles and part of the Accor group. She brings with her a wealth of experience in hospitality, business development, marketing and banking built up while working with brands like Crowne Plaza, Accor Hotels, Dupont & Standard Chartered Bank. Fazila has been an active community supporter for South West Sydney and during her tenure, the hotel has sponsored Educational & Charity events for Liverpool Hospital /Ingham Institute /Fairfield Hospital, National Breast Cancer Foundation, Western Sydney University, Liverpool police officer, Celebrated 125 years of Cabramatta & various other local charities in Liverpool and Fairfield. Her passion for tourism and hospitality has driven her to actively work with local bodies and businesses to put together the first Tourism Map for Fairfield and Liverpool which is distributed locally and internationally, laying the foundation for the expanding tourism opportunities that will be generated by the new Western Sydney Airport.

Managing Director Quest Liverpool, Director Liverpool Chamber of Commerce

Tom is the founding Managing Director of Quest Liverpool, the first premium accommodation provider located in Liverpool’s CBD. Tom brings a wealth of experience to the role, having run his own business in Canberra for over 5 years, and has actively engaged in the community of Liverpool through supporting various local charities and the events. He brings the SWSTT committee his vision that tourism is one of the strongest drivers of world trade and prosperity. Through collaboration it can act as an engine for our city’s development by attracting international and domestic visitors, and creating direct and indirect employment. He is a strong believer in uniting the tourism stakeholders in South West Sydney to work together to showcase the assets in the region.

Macarthur Tourism, Travel and Events College

Tina Edney is the CEO and founder of Macarthur Tourism, Travel and Events College (MTTEC), a Registered Training Organisation (# 41365) that was established in 2015. Tina has over 25 years’ experience in the travel and events industries, and taught at TAFE NSW for over 15 years.

Tina was born and raised in Macarthur, where she still resides today with her family. She is passionate about building visitation through tourism in the area and providing flexible, high quality training options to meet the growing industry demand. Tina is an active member of the Campbelltown and Greater Narellan Chambers of Commerce and supporter of small businesses working in partnership to do great things.

Director – Maryann Strickling

President Camden Chamber of Commerce, Tourism & Industry Inc, Principal Urban Designer-Landscape Architect

Maryann lives in Camden and is excited about the diversity and quality of untapped local tourism experiences that are in the South West Sydney. The ‘hidden gems’ deserve to be revealed to wider visiting communities. She completed her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Hons) in 2006 and Masters of Urban Design in 2013, following a career in nursing, including Masters of Clinical Practice. Maryann practises as a landscaper architect/urban designer in the Macarthur area and is a community panel member of IHAP (Independent Hearing and Assessment Panel) for developments over $3million within local government area.
