Managing Director Hunts Hotel Liverpool, President Liquor Accord – Liverpool

Harry served the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce from 1980 to 2016. Harry recovered the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce from bankruptcy in 1990 and served as President of the Liverpool Chamber from 1998 to 2016. He left the Chamber in a healthy financial situation with over $90,000 in the bank and is one of Liverpool’s most respected citizens. Harry is well known for this charity and support to the community of Liverpool, donating on an average $50,000 back each year. Harry owns and operates the Hunts Hotel Liverpool, which is one of Liverpool’s longest operating hotels. Harry networks tirelessly in South West Sydney and brings to the Committee a wealth of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Vice President and Secretary – Fazila Farhad

Managing Director Ramada Hotel & Suites Sydney Cabramatta, Vice President,Liquor Accord Cabramatta – Fairfield, Director Liverpool Chamber, Director TAA NSW.

Fazila is currently the Managing Director Ramada Hotel & Suites Sydney Cabramatta (a part of the Wyndham Hotel Group). She brings with her a wealth of experience in hospitality, business development, marketing and banking built up while working with brands like Crowne Plaza, Accor Hotels, Dupont & Standard Chartered Bank. Fazila has been an active community supporter for South West Sydney and during her tenure, the hotel has sponsored Educational & Charity events for Liverpool Hospital /Ingham Institute /Fairfield Hospital, National Breast Cancer Foundation, Western Sydney University, Liverpool police officer, Celebrated 125 years of Cabramatta & various other local charities in Liverpool and Fairfield. Her passion for tourism and hospitality has driven her to actively work with local bodies and businesses to put together the first Tourism Map for Fairfield and Liverpool which is distributed locally and internationally, laying the foundation for the expanding tourism opportunities that will be generated by the new Western Sydney Airport.

 

Director June Young OAM CCM JP

Liverpool Tourism and CBD Committee – Liverpool Council

June has been a resident of Liverpool for 40+ years and during this time has worked endlessly for the Community.  She had her own business in Liverpool for 23 years, and during this time was Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce for 15 years.  She has served on many Liverpool Council committees, including the Mall Committee and the Liverpool Business Awards. She is currently serving on the Tourism & CDB Committee, as well as the Civic Advisory Committee. She is also currently a Director of City of Fairfield RSL Memorial Club, as well as holding the position as the RSL sub Branch Welfare Officer. June has been a Justice of the Peace for over 35 years and is a member of Liverpool Branch of the NSW Justices Association. June was a board member and treasurer of Liverpool Youth Needs Committee and the Autistic Advisory Service for many years. She has been awarded the Commonwealth Centenary Medal and the Order of Australia Medal for her service to the Community, Veterans and Local Government. June has held integral roles in many charity organisations for over 30 years, both locally, and in international capacities.

Tom was the founding Managing Director of Quest Liverpool, the first premium accommodation provider located in Liverpool’s CBD. He brings the SWSTT committee his vision that tourism is one of the strongest drivers of world trade and prosperity. Through collaboration it can act as an engine for our city’s development by attracting international and domestic visitors, and creating direct and indirect employment. He is a strong believer in uniting the tourism stakeholders in South West Sydney to work together to showcase the assets in the region.
